Jelly Deals: Win a copy of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

A note from the editor: Jelly Deals is a deals site launched by our parent company, Gamer Network, with a mission to find the best bargains out there. Look out for the Jelly Deals roundup of reduced-price games and kit every Saturday on Eurogamer.

If you've been alive and anywhere near Steam over the past few weeks, you will have no doubt stumbled upon the latest craze in online multiplayer gaming, PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. The game, despite having a slightly naff title, appears to have been an overnight success, possibly thanks to the huge amount of attention it has received from Twitch streamers and YouTube types.

Battlegrounds is a massive online multiplayer shooter and survival game that pits one hundred players against each other. All players are air-dropped onto the island and upon landing, must scavenge for weapons and equipment before making efforts to survive in a brutal, violent fight to the death, all in the desperate hope of emerging as the last person standing.

Share your favourite moments from Obsidian games and win consoles!

UPDATE 23RD OCTOBER: A brief update to let you know winners will be chosen this week! Sorry it's taken a while to sort out.

ORIGINAL STORY 11TH SEPTEMBER: We're indulging in a bit of a celebration of the work of veteran role-playing game studio Obsidian Entertainment over the next couple of weeks, and as part of that we would love you to share memories of your favourite moments from Obsidian's classic games, past and present. We'll be rewarding our favourite memories with prizes!

The prizes come courtesy of Paradox Interactive, which is publishing a couple of Obsidian titles this month: the console version of the studio's old-school role-player Pillars of Eternity, out now; and the first expansion for last year's villainous RPG Tyranny, called Bastard's Wound, released on 7th September. Here's what our lucky winners will take away:

Win a copy of Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire!

ArenaNet's Guild Wars 2 is an interesting beast. Since 2012, the Fantasy MMORPG has offered players the chance to delve into the world of Tyria any time they want without ever being charged a subscription fee. Not something we see very often.

The model must be working, however, as publisher NCSoft boasts over five million sales of the game to date. And with Season 3 of their "Living World" story - a constantly evolving, morphing narrative - hitting last week, they're hoping to bolster that further.

To celebrate the occasion, NCSoft have offered us 10 copies of the "Ultimate Edition" of Guild Wars 2's latest expansion, Path of Fire - which usually commands an RRP of £69.99 - to give away to lucky readers.

Hi, hello, how do you do. That was quite the 12 months, wasn't it? I can't remember another year that was so stacked with incredible video games, and I'm kind of savouring the idea of a short time off work to catch up with everything. In the meantime, would you mind writing some of the site for us? It's easy - all you need to do is vote for your best games of the year and let us know your thoughts, and we'll compile them all so we have something to put up on this website of ours while we're all off getting fat. Also your opinions tend to be better than ours, so it's a nice opportunity to right a few wrongs as the year draws to a close.

Voting is open now, and will run through to Friday 15th December at 2pm. Thanks for coming along for the ride this year, and thanks for taking part!

Eurogamer Q&A: Win a Switch with Diablo 3!

Diablo 3 launched on Switch last week, marking developer Blizzard's first foray onto Nintendo's handheld machine, and the first time a Blizzard game has been on a Nintendo platform in 15 years.

It's a perfect platform for the dungeon crawler and proved that smashing demons with big hammers and shiny spells is just as fun on the small screen.

It's got us thinking, though. Which other Blizzard games would suit portable play? Would getting play of the game in Overwatch be just as fun on the toilet? Or how about getting stuck into some Lost Vikings on the bus?

Eurogamer readers' top 50 games of 2018 voting

You! Hello! You! It has been almost 365 days since January the 1st - 52 weeks! 12 months! - which means we're close to the point where we can say that 2018 was a year that was. Isn't that a thing? It has also been a year in which some video games were released, between the dates of January 1st 2018 and December 31st 2018, and as is the somewhat bewildering tradition amongst people we will now spend the next few weeks bickering about which of those video games were the best video games. It's a time to belittle those with opinions that differ from your own, to express dismay and bitterness at those who don't appreciate the merits of whatever brand of electronic entertainment box you have under your television and to get super salty in comments threads and forums across the internet. Rejoice!

Or, let's just all have a nice get together and tell each other what it is we loved about our favourite games of 2018. As is our tradition, we'll be collecting your votes and collating your comments so you can show us what people of taste you are (and a little spoiler - your tastes are certainly better than ours). We'll be publishing the results over the Christmas break, and you've got until 5pm GMT on Tuesday - that's the 18th of December - to take part.

Voting is open now, and if your own particular favourite game is missing from the list let us know in the comments and we'll endeavour to add it as soon as we can. Thanks for joining us on Eurogamer this year, and thanks for taking part!

Win an Xbox One X or PS4 Pro with the Division 2

Hello. Happy Friday! This weekend brings the open beta for Ubisoft's loot shooter The Division 2 - it's live now, and will remain so until 9am on Monday.

Our network and Ubisoft have teamed up to offer a chance to win either an Xbox One X or PS4 Pro with a copy of the Dark Zone Collector's Edition - as just announced in the joint livestream by friends of Eurogamer Outside Xbox and Arekkz.

All you need to do is upload a heroic moment of Dark Zone gameplay from the beta, straight from your Xbox One or PS4 to YouTube. We're specifically after gameplay footage from the unrestricted, player-versus-player mayhem of the Dark Zone, with its last-minute survivals and betrayals. The more surprising and chaotic the better.

Win a copy of Between the Stars!

Have you ever wanted to become the captain of an interstellar cruiser? I know I have.

However, I'm rapidly approaching thirty, I've never been to space camp, and I get pretty chronic motion sickness. If we're being honest, it's not looking good for your boy.

However, I might have found a solution that could just work. Between the Stars is a brand-new indie game, offering space action in the form of exploration and real time combat, with some RPG progression thrown in for good measure. I've heard it described as FTL with spaceflight, which gives me tingles in all the good places.

Win a custom Xbox One X with Deliver Us The Moon

Here's a Friday fillip for you courtesy of Wired Productions - a chance to win a custom Xbox One X, celebrating the launch of Deliver Us The Moon on consoles.

Deliver Us The Moon is a sci-fi thriller by Dutch developer KeokeN that's been out since September 2018 on PC (our friends at Rock Paper Shotgun reviewed it back then and really liked it, with one reservation). It's about a lone astronaut sent to the moon from a dying Earth, hoping to save us from extinction. Wired is now bringing the game to consoles, starting with a digital release on Xbox One and PS4 today - with a physical and Switch release to follow.

To mark today's release, Wired has provided Eurogamer with this handsome custom Xbox One X to give away to one lucky reader. Just use the below form to enter, and we'll pick the winner with a random draw next week. This is a global competition - you can enter no matter where you live, it doesn't have to be the UK.
